Pelican Point RV Park
August 3, 2013
Life has been crazy for the past few months and we have not been on the airstream since Memorial Day! Since we are leaving for a two week trip soon, we decided we needed to make sure we were all set and remembered how to do everything. We were supposed to leave Friday night, but work got busy and we were not able to leave till Saturday afternoon, after replacing our dead battery. Our battery has been a problem since we started, but never identified it as the problem until our Memorial Day dry camping trip, when we found out our fridge would not stay on for more then 4 hours. All is fixed now and everything seems ready for our long trip.
We were a little nervous to go to Pelican Point. It has terrible reviews online. We pulled in around 4 on Saturday and were greeted by the nicest lady! Very welcoming and warm. She escorted us to our spot. It had a slight incline, with our last trip having parked on a very steep incline, I was not "inclined" to go into that spot, she said no problem and showed us to another spot. We backed right in and Rob got us all hooked up. Power, water and cable were great! Even better great cell service and wi-fi! The spots were kind of close together and the sewer connections did not fit with our equipment, but other then that this was a great place and we will for sure be back!
Once we got set up we headed to Sam's Chowder house. We sat at the bar and watched the end of the giants game. It was a great night! Next time we can head out to the deck and eat by the fire place!
We had a great night and then the next morning took a walk on the beach, got cleaned up and then headed to Daddy-O's for some pulled pork and grilled cheese.
